
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled the nominees for the class of 2012, and the list includes Beastie Boys, The Cure, Guns 'N Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Heart, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts and more. Fifteen finalists in all are on the ballot, which has been sent to the Hall's more than 500 voters. Those voters will each select five artists to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the ceremony on April 14, 2012. The 27th annual event will return to Cleveland next year for the third time, after mostly behind held in New York.
The Cure have announced plans to perform their first three albums – 1979's Three Imaginary Boys, 1980's Seventeen Seconds and 1981's Faith – in their entirety at a series of concerts in London, Los Angeles and New York City. The band previously played these albums in full at their "Reflections" show at the Vivid Festival in Sydney earlier this year. According to the band's website, these seven concerts will be the last times the records will be performed live. Todd Nuke 'Em is currently seeking donations so that he can attend all three concerts.
