The Black Keys, whose new album, "Turn Blue" comes out on Tuesday (and you can listen to it early by clicking here), announced the "Turn Blue World Tour" and by gosh darn, Salt Lake made the cut. This is refreshing because The Black Keys are one of the best live bands around and because so many other bands like Nine Inch Nails and Kings of Leon have skipped us over on their recent tours (though I still light a candle they will announce SLC dates eventually).
Dan and Patrick announced their dates in a way that would make David Lynch proud. Check out the video below and get ready for turkey season with The Black Keys on November 12th at the Maverik Center. Not to mention the excellent Jake Bugg is their opener for the Salt Lake date. Tickets go on sale May 16th. That's next Thursday, so don't go and blow all you concert ticket money this weekend.
Also, catch The Black Keys on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Here is the video for "Fever" in case you haven't gotten around to it:

Good Morning America – September 21st

The Killers will also be hitting the road this winter with a full U.S. tour supporting Battle Born beginning after Thanksgiving. The dates see the band playing their fourth show at New York City’s prestigious Madison Square Garden, among other venues. Tegan and Sara will support on all dates, which are listed below.
Battle Born, named after the words emblazoned on the Nevada state flag, in addition to sharing its name with the band’s recording studio, is everything Killers fans have waited for since the band announced they would be taking a short hiatus at the start of 2010. Battle Born, already being heralded as one of the most anticipated albums of 2012, is simply The Killers doing what they do best and then some: the choruses are grander, the guitars are heavier, the drums more powerful, the vocals more commanding – all sounding quintessentially Killers while sounding bigger and better than ever before. It is an album that, like its namesake and the band that created it, does not back down from its own strengths.
Battle Born’s first single, “Runaways,” is available for purchase now via all digital service providers. PRESS HERE to watch the song’s video.
