Salt Lake Comic Con CEO Dan Farr stopped by Radio From Hell today to talk about the current controversy surround Comic Con. Last weekend news broke that San Diego Comic Con had issued Salt Lake Comic Con a cease-and-desist from using the pharse"Comic Con" in their name. Dan explains how this cease and desist would not only affect Salt Lake, but every Comic Con around the world.
Many fans thought the cease-and-desist was related to the Salt Lake Comic Con Audi that was brought to San Diego Comic Con. Dan quickly squashed those rumors and stated that the cease-and-desist was issued while the car was in transit to San Diego.
Dan also discussed many of the upcoming Salt Lake Comic Con guests, as well as shared some stories from his recent visit to San Diego Comic Con that feature Matt Smith and Manu Bennett taking the Salt Lake Comic Con Audi out for a drive.

Salt Lake Comic Con Founder and Show Producer, Dan Farr, said, "The continued fan support of these events allows us to expand Salt Lake Comic Con, already the largest convention in the state, and continue to attract the best celebrities, comic creators and vendors to Utah." He also mentions they will be expanding cosplay features, a strong focus on comic books and their creators, premiers, Salt Lake Comic Con Film Festival, Video Games Live Night with the Utah Symphony, discounted passes and much more.
Speaking of tickets, they are on sale now by clicking here. There are three tiers of pricing. It's a good idea to buy now. You can get a multipass for only $30. There is a new gold pass this year and of course, the coveted VIP pass. There are also high school and college discounts.
Salt Lake Comic Con FanX, which was held in April, brought in over 100,000 people and last year's Comic Con pulled 72,000. If this trend continues the 2014 Comic Con could be the biggest party Utah has seen since the 2012 Olympic Games. Bring it on.
Charles Fleischer, actor, comedian, and voice artist talks with Richie T about his upcoming appearance at Salt Lake Comic Con's FanXperience.
Charles is best known for his work as the voice of Roger Rabbit in the film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as well as roles in Back To The Future, The Polar Express, Rango, and We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story.
After the success of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit', Charles Fleischer continued to perform the voice of Roger in several Disney television and theme park appearances, and in three follow-up short subjects to the original film. Charles Fleischer had a recurring role on the 1970's TV series "Welcome Back, Kotter" playing Carvelli, as well as Chuck on the ABC series "Laverne & Shirley", and on the Disney cartoon "House of Mouse" as the voice of Benny The Cab. He was also a regular on the short-lived comedy/varitey show "Keep on Truckin'". He guest starred in The Weird Al Show, as well as a guest appearance on the short lived Saturday morning show Wacko.
Fleischer is now the part-owner of a multi-media company in Southern California and a writer for television and movies. He also still does stand-up gigs occasionally.
