It must be really HARD to upset Marilyn Manson. I mean, the guy is ALWAYS sad about something. I'm sure most of it is an act, but when you ACT sad and pissed off all the time, I'm sure it starts to stick. Even so, I bet ol' Mr. Manson was plenty sad this weekend when TWO of his shows were cancelled in Russia. Marilyn "Brain Warner" Manson threw out a tweet saying that Friday's concert in Moscow, which was part of the Park Live Festival, was axed just as the band was about to go onstage because of a bomb threat.
Plus it's not very easy to dance to
On top of that, protests allegedly forced authorities to deny Manson permission to put on a concert in central Russia on Sunday. The protesters were supposedly accusing Manson of promoting sadomasochism. Really? People in Russia are STILL protesting outside rock shows? It was one thing when people protested outside the Delta Center when Nine Inch Nails came to SLC in the 90's. I mean, it was still scary back then. Manson was supposed to open that show and for one reason or another was told he couldn't. But that was 1995! I guess Russia is a little behind on their pop culture.
What is it now that you are talking about, Willis??
Despite the recent setbacks, Manson is set to continue his European tour later this summer. The next leg starts with a show in the Netherlands on August 6th.
Hey it's Richie T here! If you've been watching the World Cup non-stop like I have, you've been hearing XAmbassadors song, 'Jungle'. I talked with XAmbassadors on Monday about their new hit song. Here is a sneak peek of my interview with them:
“Jungle” Collaboration with Jamie N Commons
I had the track prior to ever working with Jamie. Alex sent me this incredible beat that he had produced with this guy, Mike Del Rio, and I sat down, I wrote this hook to it. I wrote it and recorded it right in my girlfriend’s kitchen actually. Those are the vocals that you hear on the track – those are recorded in a kitchen apartment…I sent it to Alex [Da Kid], and Alex was like,”You know what, I’m going in to the studio with Jamie tomorrow. I’m going to show it to him, see what he thinks of it.” Jamie wrote these verses pretty quickly, and there it was. It’s done.

The Foo Fighters will be going to Africa this year! South Africa that is. I don't know a TON about South Africa other than I can trace some family back there in the 1800's and that's where the bad guys from Lethal Weapon 2 were from. OH, and my parents just went there on vacation. They brough me back some stuff.
Have some stuff from South Africa wich was all made in China
But after dropping a couple hints over the weekend, the Foo's have officially announced plans to play two shows -- one in Cape Town on December 10th and another in Johannesburg on December 13th. The stadium gigs will also feature the Kaiser Chiefs and BLK JKS as well. But Dave Grohl says they haven't forgotten about their Stateside fans. They've also confirmed an appearance at the Life Is Beautiful Festival, which takes place October 24th through the 26th in Las Vegas.
I want to hear "Big Me" on a Vevuzela
The Foo Fighters are set to release a new album in November and will also be the subject of a new HBO docuseries. That should be cool. I'm guessing a US Tour will follow. I hope so anyway

Every so often you find a story that totally blows your mind. Today I found the Instagram belonging to Medal Of Honor recipient, Kyle Carpenter. Which shows meeting Dave Grohl at the White House.
There’s a staggering amount of awesome going on here. Think about it, A guy wins gets the MEDAL OF HONOR for jumping on a grenade in Afghanistan. The youngest guy to ever get said medal by the way, and he lost an eye doing it. Then, while at the White House he just happens to run into Dave Grohl. I like to think of myself as being a badass, but there are several parts about that story where I would literally piss my pants.
Sorry Mr President.
Sure, I get to meet rockstars all the time, and I met Dave Grohl during the Olympics. But in the White House? I’d be all “Oh sure Barack, I’ll be with you in a sec”. I'm also trying to make heads or tails of why Dave Grohl is just wandering around The West Wing. Is that how it works? When you're a world famous rockstar you can just hang out wherever you want? I should really apply myself. Now that I think about it, the most ambitious thing I'VE today was use spellcheck to make sure I was spelling ambitious right for this blog.
Then I peed my pants again.
Anyway, Dave and his Foo Fighters are leading the lineup at the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience.
