Fresh X: Morrissey "World Peace is None of Your Business" Album Stream Corey O'Brien |

Fresh X: Morrissey

Moz fans unite!  Morrissey will release his 10th solo album on July 15th, but as the future refuses to allow things to be released on their actual date you can stream the new album early over at NPR.

Of course, Morrissey played Kingsbury Hall just a couple of months ago after making up for a cancelled date the previous year due to illness: his or his mother's depending on the source you talked to. He didn't play too many Smith's songs, which seemed to bother my buddy who had never seen Morrissey before, but felt he had seen a landmark rather than just show so he wasn't too disappointed.

Enjoy the stream.

FRESH X: New Music From Alt-J

Their music slightly rusty, but in a good way and literary in verse.  They are named after a keyboard shortcut. Their first single, "Fitzpleasure" is based on a novel called "Last Exit to Brooklyn" that isn't exactly family-friendly - nor mainstream.  Somehow, beyond all those reasons many people found Alt-J to be something unique and interesting, which is not an easy feat these days. Pop music has taken over like weeds in the modern rock's garden.

Alt-J is following up their fantastic album, "An Awesome Wave" with "This Is All Yours" on September 22nd, which you can pre-order here.

Check you the first single "Left Hand Free" and album track, "Hunger of the Pine" below and catch them at The Complex on October 22nd. You can click here for tickets.

Richie T interview with Reggie Watts

Reggie Watts

How did you get involved with the Oddball Comedy Festival?

I’ve had a good relationship with Funny or Die and when they were formulating this tour they started grabbing people that they know and people that they like. That was pretty much it. It was pretty mellow. It was just like, “Hey do you want to do this thing?”

Did you start in comedy?

No, I had actually started in music and was very serious about it for a very long time, but I had done some comedy, drama, and improv in grade school and high school. It was definitely part of my upbringing; I just didn’t make it more formal until I moved to New York in 2003.

How did you get involved with Comedy Bang Bang?

I was involved from the beginning. I had done Scott’s LIVE show and Podcast, as well as written the Comedy Bang Bang Theme song when it was a podcast, so it was a natural evolution from there.

You were part of ‘America’s Next Top Model’ last year as a fake director and nobody knew who you were. What was that like?

It was a surprise to me too. It was really, really fun wearing a stupid disguise which I improvised before getting on camera since they didn’t have a wardrobe for me. I just told them to grab me these few things, so I grabbed a woman’s sweater to wear.
