Peter Funt on Radio From Hell

Peter Funt, the creater of the TV show Candid Camera, talks to Radio From Hell about his new show, his father, and discovering content for his show. Listen to the full interview below!

Have you ever had a hard time coming up with stunts?

Peter: No, it’s the easiest part of my job because they mostly come right out of my own experiences…I look for the little things in life that drive us crazy, whether it’s the checkout line at the super market or the fact that people park too close to you in the lot, the little things like that. And then I try – instead of getting even – I try and get them with a candid camera stunt, and we go out and do that.

Tim Kazurinsky on Radio From Hell Richie T |

Tim Kazurinsky on Radio From Hell

For personal reasons I loved having Tim Kazurinsky on the show today. He’s currently playing the Wizard in Wicked. (Click Here for Tickets) He’s known for a lot of TV shows and movies, but it was amazing to talk to him about one of my comedic heroes, John Belushi. Tim and John were very close for a number of years. Tim shared stories about Belushi that were personal and gave me insight to a side of him that was not widely known. Belushi hated being stereotyped as Bluto from Animal House. He tried different types of characters (Continental Divide, Neighbors) and did them well, but the public wanted him to be loud and smash beer cans on his forehead. And he validated something I have thought for years. The soundtrack for Neighbors totally ruined the movie. I thought I was the only one who felt this way.

My job is pretty cool sometimes.

Radio From Hell Interview w/Charles Halford Richie T |

Radio From Hell Interview w/Charles Halford

This morning, Radio From Hell spoke with actor and Salt Lake City local, Charles Halford. Topics of conversation included: Charles' upbringing in Utah, why he chose to pursue acting, his run-in with Richard Simmons, his current project "Constantine" and much more! Listen here

Charles Halford on why he chose acting:

“I don’t know if I had one [a plan]. I was the youngest of four… I wasn’t allowed to take drama until the eighth grade… I was failing a lot of classes for the same reasons I got an A in drama, I was acting out. I got an A [in Drama class] for doing the same things that I was getting into trouble for in my other classes. This gave me somewhere to put my energy and it gave me direction.”

On "Constantine":

“Constantine the show, not unlike the Keanu Reeves movie, is based on the Hellblazer comics… in the DC universe. I play a character, Chas, which is essentially John Constantine’s best friend, his wingman, his sidekick. And if anyone is familiar, John has really bad luck with keeping his friends alive. So, Chas is his long, surviving friend and we do a lot of demon fighting… but John serves the higher calling, which means anyone between him and his purpose can be laid to waste for the greater good.”

Dan Farr stops by Radio From Hell to discuss the Comic Con name controversy

LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW HERE

Salt Lake Comic Con CEO Dan Farr stopped by Radio From Hell today to talk about the current controversy surround Comic Con. Last weekend news broke that San Diego Comic Con had issued Salt Lake Comic Con a cease-and-desist from using the pharse"Comic Con" in their name. Dan explains how this cease and desist would not only affect Salt Lake, but every Comic Con around the world.

Many fans thought the cease-and-desist was related to the Salt Lake Comic Con Audi that was brought to San Diego Comic Con. Dan quickly squashed those rumors and stated that the cease-and-desist was issued while the car was in transit to San Diego.

Dan also discussed many of the upcoming Salt Lake Comic Con guests, as well as shared some stories from his recent visit to San Diego Comic Con that feature Matt Smith and Manu Bennett taking the Salt Lake Comic Con Audi out for a drive.

Check out full videos of the interview below as well as the Salt Lake Comic Con Audi
