Tuesday: The BARTER KINGS return tonight (A&E), as do the DOUBLE DIVAS (Lifetime). In other words, just watch DRUNK HISTORY (Comedy Central).
Wednesday: Following the season premiere of LAW & ORDER: UK—yes, it’s everywhere—the series debut of BROADCHURCH follows a former Iron Lady and a former Doctor Who as they investigate the murder of a young boy in a small town. It’s all very British (BBC America).
Thursday: Your lame Syfy movie of the week, INVASION ROSWELL, pits Greg Evigan and Denise Crosby against earth-hating alien attackers … don’t like the odds on this one (Syfy).
Friday: After the season finale of pretty-good drama MAGIC CITY, pretty-terrible Game of Thrones-wannabe THE WHITE QUEEN debuts (Starz). Also tonight, the gritty and explode-y STRIKE BACK, aka the live-action Team America military action-drama, premieres for Season 3 (Cinemax).
Saturday: Western HELL ON WHEELS returns, and it’s still about cowboys and railroads (AMC). Larry David’s new movie CLEAR HISTORY finds Larry playing a different version of Larry—a marketing guy who quits a start-up electric-car company right before it becomes a billion-dollar success—alongside Jon Hamm, Kate Hudson, Bill Hader, Eva Mendes Danny McBride, Michael Keaton and J.B. Smoove. It’s not Curb Your Enthusiasm, but it’s pretty, pretty, pretty much Curb Your Enthusiasm (HBO).
Sunday: It’ll probably have different name, but AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE is back tonight, followed by SQUIDBILLIES, still called Squidbillies (Adult Swim). Following the debut of LOW WINTER SUN, an intense Detroit crime drama, BREAKING BAD returns for its final eight episodes, which you can watch on the movie screen for free at Brewvies Cinema Pub (677 South 200 West, 21+) at 7 pm. Be there, early (AMC).
In the next Syfy movie Invasion Sugarhouse, Gina Barberi and Anthony Michael Hall battle aliens during a Labor Day weekend sale at Shopko—set that DVR.
