Namaste;

Spent a frustrating day...Sunday the 20th here...trying to get out of Kathmandu and onto the trek at last. We were at Yeti air for several hours waiting for our flight to the most dangerous airfield in the world, Lukla. But there were mechanical problems with the plane and high winds at the airfield. We try again tomorrow. So for tonight it's more beer and rickshaw races through the streets of Kathmandu;and I ain't kidding.

Namaste;

Thats the Nepali greeting for hello and goodby....namaste. This is a lei I received from Geljen Sherpa,one of our local guides and an associate of Dean Cardinale, the guy who runs World Wide Trekking and convinced me I could do this trip. Of course the first thing I did was have my picture taken wearing a sponsor T-shirt here at the Yak and Yeti hotel. Thanks Stockton 12 Honda. Then I proceeded to drink local beer. Photos of beer should accompany this post. I'm trying to open the market for Radio From Hell ale.

Coming soon....rickshaw races and, "sorry but you may not leave Kathmandu."

Sundance Day Two Bill Allred |

We interviewed this guy today; William Fitchner.

You recognize him don't you? He said to call him "Bill." This is how he looked in The Dark Knight. This is how he looks in most of the million things you've seen him in. But here is how he looks in the Sundance film "Wrong."

Pretty cool, huh?  Gruver's (a former intern) mom thinks Fitchner is "a hottie."

Day One in Park City: 1.20.12

Met Tim and Eric from Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job. I wasn’t expecting them to be as down to earth as they were; straight ahead guys with straight ahead answers to our questions. I guess I thought they would be the kind of interviewees who didn’t give real answers to questions but would be obscure and strange. Not the case at all; smart and likeable are Tim and Eric.

Another view I really liked was about performance artist Marina Abromovich. It’s called The Artist Is Present. Marina sat across from me and had me hypnotized from the get-go. This is a save for work picture of her:

It’s called Self Portrait With Skeleton. So far, though, the best part of Sundance has been Gina taking the initiative and spearheading our new recycling program.
