Meet the Bands: Todd Nuke 'Em interviews Vince Clarke from Erasure

I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of interviewing Vince Clarke from Erasure last night before their concert at the Capitol Theater. For those who couldn’t attend, it was a classic Erasure performance filled with favorites from the past plus a few of their best new songs. Andy Bell arrived onstage decked out in a glittery top hat and a Joy Division T-Shirt while the audience went wild. They opened with “Oh L’Mour” and had the place whipped up into a frenzy instantly! It was like one big dance party with everyone singing along to every song. I was particularly thrilled when they played “Ship of Fools” and “Sometimes.” There are so many bands who are influenced by this new-wave duo, and it was amazing to see a brilliant performance even after all these years. The video of my interview with Vince is posted below. You can tell that I’m clearly star-struck while talking to him. It was a great time! And grab a copy of their new album The Violet Flame. You’ll love it!
